Quartzite was used by early humans to make tools because it was more durable than flint or obsidian. Quartzite is frequently used to create construction materials and other decorative elements, including exterior cladding, exterior flooring, exterior walls, feature walls, façades, fireplaces, gardens, interior cladding, kitchen flooring, interior walls, pavement, and swimming pools. Natural stone is the perfect material for paving garden walks, patios, and balconies due to its rough and strong texture. Quartzite creates the best kitchen worktops and kitchen islands because of its durability.

Because of this property, crushed quartzite is also utilised as ballast for train tracks. The worktops are UV-resistant, so there is no chance of discoloration or fading on the surface even if they are kept in an outdoor area with lots of sunlight.
